The site is dynamic and updated daily with the latest news and information on or related to Antarctica, and has an ever-increasing amount of reference and educational information. In addition, the site contains a virtual tour, photographs, video clips, a dynamic events calendar for future and past events with exhibit information, hundreds of categorized links and much more.
70South's Objectives
70South's objectives are to raise awareness as well as the level of understanding and education on and about Antarctica and its value to the planet and life on it. The site provides more than educational information though and is now the biggest provider of up to date news and information for people working in Antarctic related jobs or students. This is done purposefully without a commercial preoccupation, as a result 70South is funded by founder Brendon Grunewald, and staffed by volunteers. Your support (content, donations, work opportunities in the field etc) and promotion (website links, awards, distribution of leaflets, mentions in films or books etc) of the site and Antarctica are appreciated.
